Apple Watch 3 Review Is The Series 3 Smartwatch Worth It? So the new Apple Watch Series 3 GPS Smartwatch looks identical to the Apple Watch Series 1 and Apple Watch Series 2. Its still water resistant down to 50 meters and has an OLED retina display that supports Force Touch. Its also still available in both 38mm and 42mm sizes. Now really the Apple Watch sportwatch will do three things for you. The first is that it can be used as a smartwatch. If your phone is nearby, youll get notifications right on your wrist (text messages, alarms) and you can use SIRI. You can also control the music playing on your phone right from your wrist. The apps load much faster now and there a ton to choose from but honestly, its still easier just to check you phone. But of course, if you get the LTE version you get cellular coverage and everything that comes with that but Im not so sure how many people actually want to spend up for that. The second thing it will do is track your activity. The native activity tracking app gives you goals for standing, movement and exercise it works well but its nothing special. The last thing is sport tracking. It has GPS and GLONASS and a wrist heart rate monitor, which we found to be pretty accurate for running, walking and cycling. Now a big difference between the Series 3 vs Series 2 is in battery life. With the Apple Watch 3, I was able to go well over 24 hours on a single charge vs not even a full day with the Series 2. At the end of the day, its the best Apple Watch yet. Well see if it lands on the list for Best Smartwatch 2019 or Best GPS Sportwatch 2019. Hope you enjoyed this video.
