Is there a reign?
This is the worst smart watch review I’ve ever watched. Seems like the dude forgot to read the user manual before buying and reviewing smh
That is not your hiking ascent and descent but the tide graph. And yes, the maps do need data to download. Not a very well researched review I must say…
Thanks anyway 🙂
Zs
great watch! Is it need always connected to the phone in orde the GPS and map to works? thanks
Solar cell does not go well with touchscreen
call answering features available
Hi …Great Video Firstly ! 🙂 Thanks.
I had 2 questions though(on the product itself)
Q1: How can I set a dual time zone ? so Lets say… My watch shows Both times from Amsterdam and singapore , in One single glance. How do I go about that ?
Q2: is there any support Forum/ customer forum for this WSD-F20 ? I have contacted Casio on this, waiting for a reply yet. A support Forum will be just Great to vent all those niggly issues(How-to''s) that are not there in the Manual. Most products do have something like this, so I was wondering..
Thanks for any help here.
Can it be used with an iPhone?
Your. Making this up as you go READ THE MANUAL!
Such an expensive watch with Flat tire screen
Awful watch, horrendous, don't touch it, mine needs to be charged everyday, appalling customer service, you email and they respond asking questions and with a DO NOT REPLY email and a link to register or log in for your response, if you spend ages on the internet you can get through to customer service but they get angry that you called and site that they can't talk cause it data protection, my F20 cost 490 euro , I've owned it 5 months it's spent 6 weeks at Casio
Cant you just simply use some kind of juice pack to charge it? I would think you can because it would make the watch a but useless for outdoor activities if you cant charge on the go.
If only it was solar powered.
Pro trek solar the only watch worth having, made even better with titanium.
I would love to have one since I love hiking, but watch that has 62mm in diameter…Casio needs to wake up lol. I know they like to make huge oversized watches but one needs to draw a line somewhere….62 mm…is…too big.
Great review. Looks great, but I I have 2 concerns. 1. It would be nice to have longer battery life, maybe with solar charging in case your camping or hiking for a week off the grid. 2. Being Android, how quickly will this become incompatible with my phone? Is there a way to do stand alone updates on this, not tied to my phone? Being tht it has its own gps, I dont actually care about having it tied to my phone. If I want messages, I'll pick up my phone. Just my thoughts. Other than that, cool watch. Very nice looking.
Junk! I'm out for days on enduro motorcycles and electricity isn't an option. Dead watch, junk! You were informative until the battery life part, I didn't watch the rest. Not getting a "smart watch". Thanks for the help.
third tool shows "WHERE" the sun rises and sets
I don't know how this works but it's very useful.
battery life please
Audio of this video is very coarse. Kinda disrespectful to the viewer. And theres the loud coughing.
Does it work on bluetooth or does it need a separate cell number
The Gear S3 Frontier is better in my opinion! The cost of the S3 is $300 and has better functions and much cleaner look than the Casio. $500 dollars for the Casio is out of this world crazy and doesn't have the technology to justify the price.
And by the way, your voice was in and out, too loud at some points and then when I turned the volume down you would speak to where I could barely hear you. After doing this through almost the whole review it gets kind of old.
I have always loved useful watches, and I have always loved useful information about the world around me. My favorite watches are always outdoors watches. This is the single best smart watch I have ever seen.
How can you be so wrong..
This was not a good review.. You could easily see what all the different things were.
Next time read a little bit, digging into a manual 5 minutes prior could have made this review a lot better!
Anyway thanks 🙂
I like the charger port
Wow
Nice video, i published a review too (visit my channel, unfortunaly its german). I really would be happy, if casio decides any kind of solar-charging. But……(!) the wsd-f20 (all functions online) is working for 24 hrs – thats more than the most smartwatches do (please compare smartwatches with a similar kind of functionality). If you got a solar-panel, hiking & trekking for longer is no problem. The most importantt thing is the global positioning function – you are completely independent of your smartphone. Thats a point, i think. Solar will come – its the future.
I don't think ill ever buy a casio watch that is under 100 metres water resistant, plus smart watches are so overrated, the battery life is as weak as a nuns pee, and you cant take it diving, or really snorkeling
Can you change the face of the time piece when in time piece mode?
8:30 its the sunrise / sunset azimuth
I actually like the charger. The cable is very compact and lightweight. You could hike with the cable to top off as needed.
It shows the direction of the sunrise and sunset
That’s the tide low and high which you set manually. Not the hike elevation.
Map function is the best. You can download openstreetmap related maps. There is google maps(regular and sat) but not able to pre download.
The watch features a 2 screen sandwich. This is one of the most important features. It’s the regular digital display face that does not use the lcd screen. This will save a lot of power. In fact there is a time piece mode to just run the clock for a month.
Moment setter allows you set certain alarms to trigger under certain conditions. For example, ask you to rest in 1 hour. Or if the pressure drops 1 bar to tell you ( in case of approaching bad weather) also to tell you something at a certain altitude gained , tell you an hour before sunset etc. many triggers alerts. And you set for each activity. It has hiking fishing skiing biking that you can set custom moment setters.
Biggest con! No scratch resistant glass.its just mineral glass. You can buy a 36mm glass cover from aliexpress that will fit snugly. Does not affect the touch ability at all. In fact you can see lines in the screens. I think they made touchability very good in this Watch so it can be still used even when the screen has water droplets unlike an iPhone.
Like any other electronic device, smart watches are subject to obsolescence.
koja je cena casija.molio bi odgovor.
Zzzzzzzzzzzzz this put me to sleep
Why not casio make a tough solar smartwatch? It would be better.
