The most affordable good device to provide you with continuous heart rate and blood pressure snaps: right now this very likely is Alfawise T1.

This device is branded as Alfawise, and I have seen online the same model as H Band, Lemfo or Ivanony or a few other names.

Inside the box you will find only the watch, the charging cable and of course a user manual. The good design and build quality are obvious right from the beginning. It is very surprising, but not being aware of the brands, features and price tags of these you may even think of the Alfawise T1 as a more prestigious than the device on the right, which is the much more capable smartwatch from the Amazfit Family, subsidized by Xiaomi the Amazfit Verge.

The T1 watch is based on a touch screen which only responds to short and long taps in the area of the capacitive button at the bottom side of the screen.

The interface is entirely in English, and this seems to be the only language possible. For the App, the developers have added translations, so if you switch to a supported language the app will switch to that one. You will find German, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese and Russian for European customers; and the support for Asian customers is limited to traditional Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese and Korean.

Some technical specifications: The watch has a very capable chipset – NRF52832 with low power consumption and great health tracking capabilities. It is used in many other fitness trackers as well. 1.3 inch colorful TFT screen, remarkably big 240Mah battery, and the usual support for Bluetooth for connectivity. Overall lightweight about 43 grams.

Fitness trackers like Mi band 3 can offer similar battery life, however without continuous measuring of blood pressure, and only sporadic heart rate checks. Here these measurements happen every 10 minutes. If you want to look at more detailed statistics the H band app 2.0 is the place and although the interface is combination between old-school and anti-aesthetic it actually does wonderful job, and in a simple way provides WAY more information than what most other apps are doing. Please note that the Alfawise T1 is NOT medically certified, so trust these values with a bit of salt. But the fact is that most of these measurements are somewhat accurate and close to the results you may achieve with professional equipment. It is also useful when it comes to sports- of course among the amazing health data, we entirely forgot about sports. It only covers running, but that is overall fair while other trackers support more sports, results are never quite accurate.

There is alarm clock, notification support, stopwatch – and I may have missed something, but if I carry on, it will sound like too good to be true.

Disadvantages: yes, of course there are some. First of all the strap it is the first strap in months that I dont like. The material is not soft and feels strange. But you have the freedom to change it, as it comes at standard size. No quick release though. Slow charging because of the big battery and it may take up to three hours.

At the end theres one thing I can say for sure the functionality of this smartband in the form of a smartwatch goes way beyond what Ive hoped and expected. Continuous heart rate, continuous blood pressure and quite a good looking display for less than 30 dollars this is the Alfawise T1.
