DESCRIPTION:
We reviewed the original LEMFO LEM7 awhile back as the only smartwatch to ship with a power bank included for topping off power to the watch battery in order to get a reasonable life out of it. Unfortunately, because of the design, the watch, when charging, would automatically turn on and boot up making it harder to charge in a short amount of time. Furthermore, with no other dock, the only way to charge the watch was trough the power bank. Great new technology, but poorly implemented.

Well fast forward to now and we have what amounts to an entirely new watch in the same case (and, hence, still called buy the same name), but with a new processor (MTK6739 rather than MTK6737), updated firmware, and the addition of the special “Always Time Display” mode ambient analog display that appears when the screen is normally off.

This update drops the power bank entirely (and it doesn’t seem to be an option to buy separately either), and instead includes a proprietary dock (which won’t work on any other LEMFO watches). The up-to-date Android 7.1.1 is on par with the other LEMFO models, like the LEM8.

So here we go. a new review of an already released smartwatch, but with so many changes it deserves a fresh look as a new watch. If you order an LEM7, this is what you will get. The older model with the power bank and MTK6737 processor is no longer available, which is good, as it did have some crazy issues as mentioned above.
