Skagen Falster 2 – I’ve Found My Next Smartwatch!
For some time I’ve been looking for a worthy replacement of my Huawei W1 Smart Watch. Have I found it in the Skagen Falster 2 running Wear OS?
It’s stylish, it’s small, it’s light and it looks great. It’s still on the old 2100 chipset, will this be a problem?

I didn't know much about Skagen until after watching this video. I thought they were a Danish brand this whole time, but they are only based off of Danish designs. They are an American brand though, huh. Who knew.
Please cut out the saliva/reflux swallowing from your videos. It's hard to watch your struggle…
I went for the Fossil Sport. Basically the same watch but with the newer chip set.
Greetings from Oklahoma! Thanks for the review.
What's a better smartwatch in 2019 than The TicWatch S2?
does it have a Speaker??
Hey Andy. Good video.
I bought the Falster 2 and enjoyed its minimal design yet I found the mesh strap was too short and required too much fumbling to get on every day. Coming from the Moto 360 I was used to a bigger watchface as well.
Anyway, I've returned it since then and bought a Fossil Gen 4 which I'm happy with. I'm also currently testing the TicWatch C2.
The dail size is very smaller. Any watch can not be unisex.. there should be a variation in size of use for male and female
Great video as usual. 1 question that I've always asked myself, I have the Ticwatch Pro & although the battery is VERY GOOD I'd like to monitor my sleep but that would mean not charging it. When would be the best time to charge your watch if you want to monitor sleep. I've always though of the morning when you wake up & go in the shower but I would like to maximise my availability on battery.
The question is: what do you actually use the watch for? Is it just supposed to tell the time and show your notifications? If that's the case: they all do it, so in the end it's just about battery life and design. Many apps are "nice to have", but do you actually use them on a daily basis? Many android wear apps are like buggy beta versions, the rest is all watchfaces, so the appstore for Wear hasn't that much useful to offer. My first smartwatch also was Huawei Watch (classic) and I have to say: the most useful thing was Android Assistent (this is why I think an Android Wear watch without microphone+speaker is a no go). I now have the Huawei Watch GT and when it comes to battery life, accuracy of sleep tracking and continous heart rate monitoring, there is nothing better. If you replace the ugly original wrist band with a nice leather strap, it even looks nice. My dream watch: kind of a Huawei Watch GT with Android Assistent (and maybe Google Maps and Google Translate)… 🙂 Let's see if there will be a Huawei Watch 3 what it will be like; I'm pretty optimistic that Huawei will release another "real" smartwatch later this year, after the GT being mostly fitness oriented – if a ""Huawei Watch III!" has Android Wear again and the accuracy of fitness functions of the Watch GT, it will be perfect…
Yeah, it has GPS, you need to activate it in connectivity settings. It'll use the phone GPS if it's on instead in order to save battery, if there's no phone GPS it'll use its own. I think that's a great idea to save battery as there's no point using its own if the phone is on you
I agee with the packaging comment. All the Fossil watches have this same packaging. My Explorist is the same. Its hard to get the lid to close after you open it. I prefer the TicWatch apple style packaging
try the amazfit stratos

I don't get why everyone gets this. The Fossil Explorist HR 4th gen is made by the same Fossil group but looks more premium at a better price with all the same features. I got it with a leather strap on Amazon for 180 pounds
Agree with that unboxingthing .Kind of ruin the exitment of buying a new gadget.
Great review Andy! Does look a little tight on your wrist, I'd be afraid it fell off while out walking and didn't notice.
I am using a 2 year old Zenwatch 2, only £150, and it's still going strong.
Nice review of a very nice and stylish watch. I'm still using my faithful old W1 which is running Wear 2.1 without issue. I agree with your comment about the Ticwatch Pro, I sold mine after 3 days and went back to the Huawei as it was like wearing a brick on your wrist!
