DECRIPTION:
First the bad news. The unit I received was set for China internal use only. That means absolutely NO Google apps installed, and pretty much impossible to install them without China pushing a firmware update. That said, and after strong feedback to them, they will look into it to make sure their stock is set for International distribution, not China only.
Now the good news. This watch has lots going for it. The square size and front facing camera make for ideal conditions to video chat and run standard Android apps. The 4G connectivity (though I could only get 3G with my USA AT&T SIM) should make things like video chat smooth. Using WiFi will always give the best results though, and, of course, WiFi speeds are great on this watch.
There’s a trick to tethering this watch to your phone, and it’s shown a couple of times in this video series about the DM2018, so make sure you watch all the videos if you’re serious about owning this watch.
Finally, the fitness/health component is the best I’ve seen on an Android watch. For the first time Blood Pressure reading is included. Also, in the fitness section, the activities like walking, running, and cycling actually integrate with the GPS module for accurate distance calculations. This is new as most Android watches simply slap on a fitness module but connect everything to the pedometer step count, which is often inaccurate for distance without knowing and adjusting your exact stride (whic can’t be done on most watches).
Bottom line, this is a really good watch, but make sure you get one with the Google apps installed, otherwise lots of apps, like Chrome, Maps, Translate, YouTube, Hangouts, Skype, etc., simply won’t work.

BIOMETRIC MEASUREMENT WARNING: This device claims to read Blood Pressure without using a cuff to measure actual Blood Pressure directly. The accuracy of the readings HAVE NOT BEEN VERIFIED and MAY NOT BE ACCURATE. As such, you are advised to proceed with caution and to *NOT* rely upon Blood Pressure readings from this or any similar devices for making decisions regarding your medical condition or health. Fitness/Health watches/bands offering biometric measurements such as heart rate, Blood Pressure, blood oxygen, fatigue, breath rate, etc., should be considered supplemental to seeking true and accurate readings taken under optimal conditions by trained professionals using accurate, calibrated equipment. If you feel concerned about your health, do not self-diagnose, especially from using inexpensive, uncalibrated non-medical wearable devices such as this one. Seek proper medical advice. Enjoy your new toy, but remember, it is a toy.

Thanks for this video. I was contemplating on buying the H5 form Micrwear or this watch. But after watching this video, I think this is the better of the two Smart Watches (I still like both of them though). I clicked your link to buy one, but they are sold out at the moment. Ugh. By the way, there is now and H7 from Microwear. I hope you do a review on that one because it has the camera on the side of the watch but yet their website advertises that you can do video calls, which I don't see how the other person would be able to see you. Did they ever update the upsidedown camera on the H5?
I played around with the Fundo Pro app and I found where the Sports data is being saved. From 7:49 to 8:09, you have the phone app open and at the top of the app there are three words — Sports, Steps, and Heart. These are like tabs, and you were on the "Steps" tab. (And unfortunately the Report and Analysis buttons on the bottom only relate to Steps as well.) To get to the Sports tab you need to swipe to the right. Once in the Sports tab, there is an icon in the top left where you can choose the different activities (walking is the default). It will show you the best record for that activity in the main view, and there is a little history button in the bottom left that shows saved activities. If you click on one of the saved activities, it shows you a map of your run (laid out on Google maps) and all of the data about the activity (speed, pace, calories, steps, Vo2 max, stride length), including charts. Note that I don't have this watch so this I just ran a few test walks using the app itself (it can track activities without a watch as well), but I assume that's where you would look for your Sports data sync'ed from the watch too.
By my count, I think this is the first and only native Android watch that has built-in fitness tracking that uses GPS — am I correct? I wonder why it is that DM2018 has figured it out but the other recent popular watches (LEM7, LEM8, IQI I8, etc.) have the fitness feature without using GPS? Is there any way to port this from DM2018 to these other platforms?
I would like to know how works whatsapp in a smartwatch like this or like lemfo lemx please…
Please show a video on how to install new watch faces for the Dm2018.
does this watch work with USA Tmobile or ATT? and does it have hotspot sharing capabilities?
I believe you mentioned the app funfit, that may give you the sport readings.
I recall that you reviewed another smartwatch last year that didn't come with "Google playstore" and the other services and you had seemed pleased saying that Google wants to know too much about us. Yet it seems you are disappointed that this one doesn't have it. Also in the Microwear H2 review, it had Normal and Speed mode. You said at that time that Microwear said speed gives better performance.
Youtuber Coolicool has video of Xanes DM2018. He has Playstore app on sm watch at 6:45 or 7:45. I've been waiting for a connectivity (data) review on the LEM X. It has the 4G band 5 which is the one AT&T uses for 4G but not T-Mobile which uses band 4 for it's 4G.
You waste too much time playing with apps before you get to the meat…
fun do pro= useless…
HI SmartWatch Ticks! I was wondering if you can review the kingwear kw88 pro, it's on bangood for 89.99$ and it has android 7. Since there are no videos reviewing it I suggest you should review, cause it might be the best smartwatch and we do not know if it's any good unless you review it. I'll be waiting for your review.
