So today, of course, we will be reviewing unboxing and testing the accuracy of the amazfit gts2 mini. Make sure you stay tuned, you won’t want to miss this one what’s up guys, welcome back to take it easy. So we’ve got another smart watch in for review today. This time we’ve got the amazfit gts2 mini. I saw a budget mid range smartwatch, except it really doesn’t feel like one. So, as always to start the video off we’re going to jump straight into an unboxing now, first impressions for any product are super important and the fact that atmosphere have actually put some thought into their unboxing experience is a really good sign for their product. So inside the box we get three smaller boxes, one has the charger in it. One has the warranty guides and the last one has the watch itself, a really nice arrangement. Interestingly, the charger is magnetic. I was kind of hoping to see some wireless charging on this watch, not something we usually see on a watch at this price point, though i suspect they opted for a magnetic charger to help bring down the size of the watch, and i will talk more about That, later on, in the video now for the watch itself, the atmosphere, gts2 mini, looks and feels amazing, especially for the 75 pound price tag. Of course, it does take on more of an apple watch, design approach here, but it’s much slimmer and lighter coming in at just 19 and a half grams.
This is one of the reasons i’ve actually preferred wearing this over my much bulkier galaxy watch 3.. We have a nice metal finish around the edges of the display and then plastic at the back. Build quality feels excellent. It certainly doesn’t feel cheap that’s for sure, then we have the display, which is quite a nice size, certainly big enough measuring in at 1.55 inches with 450 nits of brightness, which from testing is just enough to see well outside on a sunny day. It also has a 100 ntsc high color saturation, making everything on the watch pop just that little bit more now, the battery life on the gts2 mini is actually quite impressive. You’Re gon na reach up to 21 days of battery life with a 220 milliamp hour battery. Now, that is with what they call basic usage that’s with bluetooth and heart rate, turned off. They stay 14 days for typical usage and seven days for heavy usage. Personally, i think a lot of us will find ourselves in the heavy usage category, whether we like it or not, but still, if you think the minimum seven days that’s a lot more than what you get on other fitness, trackers and smart watches at this price point And even some of the ones higher up the chain, for example, the apple watch series six, you barely get 24 hours with that. So seven days really is huge here and i do thoroughly believe it will reach the seven days stated from testing i’ve had this.
Just over two weeks now and to be honest, i’ve only charged it once and it’s only just starting to run out of battery so on the gts2 mini. We have a really nice selection of features and, as i mentioned, we will do a heart rate and spo2 accuracy test later on in the video. But some of those features include blood oxygen, monitoring, heart rate, monitoring steps, counting, breathing exercises, calorie counting female cycle tracking sleep, tracking stress, tracking and just an all round health assessment system. That is a lot to be packed into what is a 75 pound watch. I have to say it has been a delight using those features too switching quickly back to the heart rate monitoring. This is 24 hour, continuous heart rate monitoring, and it will actually give you your heart rate. Warnings too, which is an awesome feature to have, especially if that’s something you’re looking out for now. I know a lot of my subscribers at least do like their watch faces, so i couldn’t pass this one by the amazfit. Gts2 mini just come with over 50 different choices and over 30 always on display options. You’Re, definitely not going to get the sort of ecosystem you get with the galaxy watch 3 here, but still there’s. Definitely a nice selection to choose from and i’m pretty sure you will find something that you like. So how is the ui and operating system in general on the atmosphere gts2 mini now? I, for one know that atmosphere has got a bit of stick from reviewers on youtube and just in blogs in general, mainly targeting amazfit’s, ui and whilst i’ll admit it.
Hasn’T made me think this is amazing. I’M, not particularly disappointed, especially considering the price tag on this. One everything is quite nicely laid out and animations are somewhat smooth. It just works really. I guess it would be nice to see android wear, but even that’s, not the best. As we well know. My only comments are, since it is a smaller screen when you swipe to say your activity rings, they could be much much bolder and the text could be a lot bigger and they could really do that without making any sacrifices. I do really feel like i have to bring the watch up close to my face, to read it sometimes so, maybe something that amazfit could consider fixing in the future. Now i did mention earlier in the video that we would do an spo2 and heart rate accuracy test for the gts2 mini, so i think that we should put it through its paces. If you haven’t watched one of my videos before to test the accuracy, i use the oh tubing that the guys at well, you sent out to me for another video. What this does is it tracks your spo2 and heart rate and gives live updates to my phone? This is a medical grade device, so it should be as accurate as you can get really. It comes in at around 150 pounds and i guess, if you are looking to up your tracking game, i will put a link in the description so jumping into the test.
Straight away, we can see that the gts2 mini is pretty much bang on straight away. This is a really good sign, as usually i have to do a bit of adjusting, but i didn’t really have to do much here. I of course tested it several times on and off, camera never really saw any huge discrepancies and thankfully same story with the sp02 a couple of times it was one percent out, but this is very normal and very common from past experience. This was the case with things like the apple watch series 6 and even the galaxy watch 3., so all in all i’m, extremely happy with how the gts2 mini has performed here. So if you were worried about the accuracy don’t be the gts2 mini is a great pick if that’s, what you’re going for so one thing i did forget to mention earlier on in the video is that the amazfit gts2 comes with over 70 different workout modes. That rivals a lot of smart watches and fitness trackers at this price point and beyond there’s too many to go through completely. But to give you an idea, we have swimming as, of course the gts2 mini is actually 580m water resistant. Then we have cycling, rowing tennis and much much more, and i do actually have something positive to say about the ui here when you go into these sports modes once you click on more, they nicely bundle things into different subcategories, so you’re not stuck endlessly scrolling through Different workout modes, a really nice touch, and a very impressive selection in my opinion, do know, though, that, as i say in almost all my videos now that workouts really do the same thing, they track all the same stats, but they just have different words written on Them, or at least most of the time they do so if you did want even more selection, i wouldn’t be too afraid so, really the amazfit gts2 does everything you’d really expect it to do, and a lot more there’s still many features that we haven’t covered in This review and there probably isn’t time to go over them all this things like bluetooth, camera and then there’s, something called pomodoro clock which is used to improve time management and improve work and study efficiency.
It really is just packed to the brim with features that even rival, that of flagship, smartwatches it’s honestly been a while since a product impressed me quite this much and it’s also really nice to see how sensibly priced it is. I think it’s worth every single penny before we finish up, it is worth glossing over the app that you use on your phone. This is what’s used to track all your analytics and, in comparison to say, huawei health and samsung health, apps, it’s very, very similar i’m liking. The layout everything is easy to find and i’m sure you’ll find it just as easy to navigate as i did so. That’S. Really it for the amazfit gts2 mini as always.
