Today, we’ve got the honor band 6 with us. This is a new release from honor and even though it is a 40 dollar tracker, it acts like a smart watch. So what we’re going to do with it today is we’re, taking it on a very detailed walkthrough, we’re gon na be showing you the screens, the apps, the widgets, how it all works on this particular band., so let’s get into it. Do a quick recap on the honor band 6.: the version in front of us is the chinese version, as the global version is yet to be released.. The screen is not only huge for a budget fitness band it’s 1.47 inch amoled with resolution of 194 by 360 pixels that’s 40 higher than the competition., such as galaxy fit 2 or amazfit band 5.. The dial is covered with 2.5 d gorilla glass for extra scratch. Resistance, the tpu strap, is using a similar, seamless, look tapered to the sides of the tracker, just like on band 5.. The strap, thankfully, has a watch like clasp, making it so easy to use.. The straps are interchangeable and we’ll. A quick recap of the advanced features on the honor band 6., so it does have an on demand. Spo2 monitor it’s got a stress level monitor it does advanced sleep tracking, as in it does your light deep and rem, sleep, monitoring. and it’s all using the huawei truesleep, which is actually a medical certified technology.. There are also 10 goal based sport modes here. In fact, four of them are auto: detected. there’s, also a guided breathing app on the honor band 6, which does help you relax but we’ll get into it later.. Now that the recap is out of the way let’s get into the detailed walkthrough. swiping down from the home screen, gets you to the shortcut screen similar to what you get on smartphones. there’s, the dnd mode screen on function. Mind you, since there’s, no always on option there is an option to keep your screen on from anywhere between 5 and 20 minutes. You can find your phone set the alarms and skip to settings.. If you swipe up from the home screen, it gets you to the notification screen. by swiping to the side from the home screen, gets you to the summary screens, like heart rate, weather, alipay, daily activity summary and back home., but you can actually adjust this. But we’ll talk you through this. When we get to the settings menu.

By tapping the physical button, we enter the full widget list.. First on the list is workouts. There are 10 goal based workouts here. goal. Based means you can set specific targets, such as calories, burned, time, distance, etc. also note that there are four auto detected activities walking running rowing and elliptical workouts.. The next widget is workout records. These are very detailed and, due to the large display, contain as much information across tables and charts. As you would see on a smartwatch. The heart rate. Widget shows your continuous heart rate and the time spent in different heart rate, zones. tap on the information icon and get a detailed explanation on what every zone represents.. Then we have the spo2 monitor, aka blood oxygen saturation monitor. This is an on demand tracker. Hence you measure at a point in time and that reading will be recorded in the huawei health app. So you can track your trends over time. activity record screen details your steps, activities and hours active over the past week a good tool for trend analysis of your progress. The sleep screen shows total time slept inclusive of naps for light, deep and rem, sleep breakdown, sleep score and guidance to improve sleep quality you would need to go to the huawei health. App. stress, monitor is continuous, and this screen tracks your daily stress, levels. below the plot. You see a breakdown of your stress, levels. there’s, also a guided breathing app for those times when you need to relax.

There are three options for slow, medium and fast paced. Breathing.. Also, you can adjust the time you want for the exercise.. The following screens include the basics like notifications, weather stopwatch timer and alarms.. I would like to particularly mention the torch function. It’S, actually very useful.. Well, for me, at least., when fumbling with door locks in the dark or misplacing an item but avoiding to switch on the lights, not to wake anyone up.. The last widget is the settings app and it needs a particular mentioning, as is broken up into the following display: vibration, DND options, workout settings and the system. Options. let’s run through these. tap on display and you can go into the watch faces. Then there is the favorites screen you can add and remove widgets here for the side swipes from the home screen.. So if you recall, when swiping from side to side away from the home screen, we had heart rate, weather, alipay and activity, records. let’s, remove alipay and add sleep., then we’ve got brightness. It’S got five available levels: no auto brightness here. under the advanced menu. We can set the screen on feature from 5 to 20 minutes.. So, even though the tracker does not have always on display, it does have a semi always on display. As long as you set five to twenty minutes, you swipe down from the home screen and you click the top right button that will actually get you to a state where your watch is on.

For 5 to 20, minutes. now tap on vibration to adjust the strength of the vibration. You’D like on your wrist. tap on, Do Not Disturb to set a schedule or switch on the all day. Dnd mode. tap on workout settings to switch on the auto detection of the four workouts we mentioned earlier running, walking, elliptical, workouts and rowing..
