Reviewing the Huawei Watch GT2 (46mm version), after almost a full week of personal use. This latest Android smartwatch is a rival to the Fossil Gen 5, Samsung Galaxy Watch and other wrist rockets, boasting fantastic battery life and sleek design. However, the functionality is rather limited compared with Android Wear and Tizen.

For one, you can’t download new apps and watch faces onto the Huawei Watch GT 2. You get a decent range of fitness and exercise tracking tools, but this wearable is seriously limited compared with the Fossil Gen 5 and other Wear OS smartwatches.

Thankfully the battery life helps to redeem this Huawei device somewhat. You’ll get a full week of use from a single charge, even with heart rate monitoring, always on display and other features active. That’s one of the best results outside of the likes of the Withings Sport.

So are you temped by this wearable? Check out my full unboxing for a closer look at the setup, while I’ve also reviewed the Fossil Gen 5 and other rivals here on Tech Spurt.
