Most smarts not sports and battery life.
Solar and kenetic
i made same mistake by buying versa .Now switching to Amazfit or buying reburt pebbel
I have the Amazfit Bip but for some reason when some one calling me or message me no caller or calls ID on my watch. Some one can help ?
I'm still rocking my Pebble Time Steel. Better style than either and a rock-solid OS. People think the wearable market is small, I think they just still haven't managed to quite hit the golden combination of features.
Apple Watch:
– Too little battery
– Only works with iphone
– Too expensive
– Can't always read the time
Wear OS:
– Too little battery
– Buggy/slow
– Can't always read the time (depending on the model)
– Bulky
– Often too expensive
– Too complicated
Pebble:
– Not good enough tracking? (I personally don't care. Add a heart rate monitor, maybe GPS and call it good)
– A bit too nerdy
– Poor marketing (Nobody I talk to has even heard of them)
AmazFit Bip:
– Not powerful enough
– Ugly styling
Ok, folks, please add your own two cents.
Don't get burned by this watch, it only supports Bluetooth 4.0. None
of your devices that are even just a few years old support Bluetooth
4.0, and it's not backwards compatible.

I bought amazfit bip just yesterday and boy it's amazing ?
I guess my pebble time can retire now.
I don't think a Pebble-like smartwatch is gonna come out from Fitbit at least for now since they are kinda trying to brand themselves as a "premium" fitness tracker brand. They acquired Pebble and Vector just to save those R&D costs?
Battery life is the most important thing in a watch for me and other than this one they still haven't made a worthy battery in all the overpriced watches out there ?
Why do people just not use pebble. It still works fine and now there is Rebble which brings back the online services
Is the time display always on and can you change the display time to 12hr intervals? Does it monitor your heart rate continuously or can you schedule to take a reading every hour?
The only thing I don't like about the Bip is that on Iphone there is no support for emojis 🙁
Pebble Time 2 ?☹️?
this video sucks. people do not want to watch these two guys and pigeons!
cnet have you reviewed the garmin instinct?
i am wearing this amazfit while watching this video… it is the bast fitness smartwatch with a customizable face display… i am glad i found this on my research of finding the best & cheapest smartwatch.. rhanks to online shopping, google & youtube.. ??????
It is not a wrist flick to turn on the screen of a fitbit. It is a rotation
BTW fitbit did not but the pebble, that only bought the technology and programmers.
And yes you can design your own watch face.
This tech review sucks! It doesn't go into any details about how good each watch actually is! Like the versa has way better fitness features and utility but i guess these guys wouldn't know because they don't look that fit just saying! The amazefit bip is just a piece of garbage that's cheap for cheapskates!
Just a reminder that the Pebble series has been revived under Rebble
Wow, this is one of the most objective tech reviews I've seen from CNET in a long time!
Have you considered a ya know Mechanical or basic Digital Watch ?
Thanks for the review… Can you turn off the bluetooth on the watch, like an airplane mode?
Hey, I got an idea for Fitbit! Merge the Versa and the Bip and call it the Fitbip 😉
I agree with these guys. I'm looking to replace my aging Pebble 2 with a watch that has an always on screen like e-paper and has a good phone app with sleep tracking. Can't find one….yet.
versa almost always come on when I turn my wrist. Not a problem 4 day battery life is.
I think amazon is cheaper but good to
I am using amazfit Bip on Iphone-X but whatsapp is not working on watch. its showing all notifications except Whatsapp.
Please do helpful..
I'm very happy with my fitbit Versa. I'm using it to track my fitness. I also respond to messages on Android with canned responses. It's not the perfect smartwatch but it's great for fitness tracking. I wish that it had a mic so I can respond to messages like I use to do with my Pebble. I also wish that music controls where better like on Pebble. I loved the Versa for fitness tracking and its ok as a smartwatch. I'm hoping they will improve on the smartwatch features.
Can you use 2 devices with the. Mi fit app. I have a mi fitness band 3 but I want the Bip for my notifications as the band 3 has really small text… So I'd like the bip for time and notifications. So can I use both with the app at the same time… Please let me know.
So pleased CNET have made this video and made it clear that this company is awesome.
Honestly I kinda wished it was a tad thicker for more battery life and came in a circular form. I would love if they pushed the screen further up because it has a lot of bezel on the bottom and put a small casio digital watch like rectangular screen so it always tells the time, day and date for example (P 7:51 FR-24) easy to see in full sunlight and only uses the screen for mortifications and battery lasts longer. Also there are a ton of little software things the watch could use.
