Now this smart watch is very different from all the other smart watches we’ve talked about because they aren’t focused on making it look as futuristic and digital. As possible, rather they’re, going back to the old school roots, the retro look to it, which is why this is a very popular smartwatch. So in this video we’re gon na find out how good this really is and how much technology is packed and hidden behind this retro look let’s get started, let’s begin with the unboxing and setup process. The unboxing is very straightforward. The packaging is actually quite nice. You have the instruction manual and obviously the two main things are going to be the charging pin itself as well as the watch. The watch fits pretty nicely in your hand, the overall texture and design to the straps, and everything feels very well thought out. The pins at the back are obviously present there for the charging and overall, the watch has a very old school feel to it without amazfit local right there at the front, you’ve got four buttons to move around with the usual smartwatches that were just two, but this Has got four you’ve got the up down, select and back buttons to turn the watch on you hold the select button down, and it has that binding text that comes on you have to scan the qr code located on the manual itself. That’Ll. Take you to the zep application, which is formerly known as the amazfit app sign in and you’re, pretty much good to go just have to scan with the qr and it finds the watch by itself called amaze fit neo and that’s about it.
You’Re pretty much in the software connected to the watch without having to go through any hassle. So once that is done, you can put the watch on and you can fiddle around with it a little bit. There is a tilt to wake feature that enables the light with a slight delay, but that’s pretty much what it is, so the up down buttons basically navigate to different menus. As you can see in the left circle there, you can go from weather to do not disturb there’s a lot more to talk about, but we get more into that a little bit later. So let’s begin with the design. The watch itself comes with a plastic body and it has a pur set of watch straps, which are 20 millimeter in width. It weighs only at about 32 grams, so it’s quite light you’re, not gon na really notice it on your wrist, especially when you’re going to bed when it comes to the buttons it’s got four buttons: you’ve got up down, select and back the display on. This is a 1.2 inch, st and black and white display, so just keep in mind. This maintains that very old school look to it with the stn panel. That is an always on display. Obviously that displays your time and the bare settings you’re on during given moments with like heartbeat or whatever it is next let’s. Take a look at the notifications on the misfit neo. Now i usually have not very nice things to say about smart watches with their integration.
For notifications, because they generally don’t get it right right away with the amaze that neo, however, that isn’t really an issue or a concern it’s more of an alert system to let you know that you have a notification, you don’t even know what application it’s coming in From all you get is a logo that says app and the number of notifications coming in from there, so it would be plus one plus two, depending on how many messages or whatever you’re getting from that particular application. For example, when alex called us, you can see the name of alex pop up at the top right and the color on the left. It’S got various sports mode built into it for running cycling and walking for our test for the fitness category. I just put some shoes on and went out running. I hadn’t run in a very long time. That was the first i was running in a while, and this was a great way to track my progress to see my peak heart rate, how high it was going, how low it was going. How many calories i burned how much distance i covered i’m, not much of a runner, but i think, if i have something like this on my hand that isn’t very distracting, i might start running more often and take care more of my health because of something like That i don’t know it’s quite interesting worth checking out. If you have the chance.
Other features include bluetooth. 5.0 connectivity is compatible both with ios and android devices. The application being used is the zep application. You’Ve got real time. Heart rate monitoring, 5 atm water resistance, sleep, tracking sports tracking step, counter call and app notification alerts, lift to wake screen, idle alerts, alarm clock and a stopwatch. If you’re curious about what sensors it has on board. You have the accelerator sensor, biotracker ppg, buyer tracking sensor, which is essentially important for calories, tracking, your sleep tracking and all of that stuff, as well as the optical heart rate sensor. Now, speaking of battery life, it has a 160 milliamp hour battery, which takes about two to two and a half hours of charging time to give you up to 28 days in battery life. We started with about 65 when i turned the watch on and it took me about two three days to get to 20, which is which is pretty crazy actually, but i think it drained a lot quicker because i was testing it out so much more now. Let’S talk about some of the things that i really liked about it now, obviously the main reason you’d get. This is the aesthetic look from back in the day and it was kind of cool to take a step back from the smart, smart watches and go to that old school retro field. With a little bit of tech and smartness included, the sleep tracking was something i didn’t know how much i would really need until i actually started using it.
I could actually see at what time to what time i was waking up in the middle of the night. What i needed to do to improve my sleep, how long my ramp cycles were and what the pattern was, so i could get better sleep in the night. Another thing, obviously, is: if you work out a little bit having that calorie count, as well as your heart rate, constant monitoring can show you where you can push yourself and where you really need to stop. If your heart rate is going out of control, it does give you an alert and lets. You know what your max heart rate was. What your minimum heart rate was, so you can kind of be on track and know what’s going on with your body. Another huge pro, i think, is the 28 day battery life, but this kind of makes sense because you aren’t really utilizing the watch as much as other smart watches with their various functionalities. So it’s a lot easier to manage battery life on this and keep it consistently longer. Now the fun one, if you’re into this retro sort of, feel and don’t want to be spending a lot of money you’re in luck, because this costs just about 40 dollars, which is around 158 ringgit, so that’s quite cheaply, i would say it’s worth checking out all Right so now let’s talk about who this smartwatch is really for now, if you’re looking for those fancier apple watch, galaxy watch, style watches.
This is definitely not for you. The amazefit t rex, which we did earlier, might be in your niche there i’m going to link that up somewhere as well check that out a misfit made that as well really great watch very sturdy as well. So it works really well for that kind of stuff. But this is more for the looks the aesthetic, the vibe, the throwback to the old days and the sound as well as you just heard that wasn’t planned is also very old school. All the links are gon na be in the description below really hope. You guys enjoyed this video. It was a kind of short one, but we just wanted to go through everything we thought was relevant, really hope you enjoyed this.QS-IJkz4cdw
