Amazfit Stratos hands on review and unboxing English version
The Amazfit Stratos is also known as the Amazfit Pace 2
The Amazfit Stratos or the pace 2 is the updated of the Amazfit Pace 1 that came out in 2017 with lots of great reviews on Amazon and on paper. When the successor was rumoured everyone thought it would be called the Amazfit Pace 2, but it was not… well so to speak,
Now roll onto 2018 and the Amazfit Stratos, Amazfit Pace 2 or as its known on the review box I got sent, it says AMAZFIT Stratos multi-sports smartwatch, yes like you I am confused what the thing is actually called. So for the purpose of this article, I will refer to the watch as the Stratos, Amazfit Stratos or the Amazfit pace 2

Does the international version come with sapphire glass? There's two Chinese versions; the 2 and the 2s.
It would be helpful if you can test the following points in your product full review.
A couple of weeks ago i was hiking with a friend of mine for a couple of days and we noticed that the measurements from our devices are difference over long hikes. My device being Fenix5x, and his an amazfit Pace.
Basically when my Fenix 5X measures ~20km distance; his measures ~15km. After some analysis, we explain the difference as follow:
– Fenix5x flaw: I did not use autopause as i found that it penalizes me everytime i pause by around 20m. But when i do not use autopause but wait in the same area; it also adds on the distance by what we estimate 5% of the total distance walked.
– Amazfit Flaw 1: After comparing the tracks recorded on both devices, we found that the amazfit simplifies the tracks. For example, we were walking in ziagzag, the garmin shows more or less the real trajectory, while the amazfit shows straight lines. This is the biggest part of the difference.
– Amazfit flaw 2: The other explanation we came up with is that, when gaining altitude over a long distance; the watch records the horizontal distance walked and not the hypotenuse. This is of course difficult to test given that the difference is small (300m for a hike of 6.5km and a climb of 900m), but given that the amazfit understates the total distance; we believe this is a possibility.
Hi! Nice video! How can I turn off the gps, WiFi and Bluetooth? Thanks
can you please connect a bluetooth hrm (maybe polar one) to this watch? is it even possible? and can you connect a external hrm and headphones at the same time? thank you very much.
Hi Active! Nice video, would you reccomend this s.watch for playing golf? Perhaps downloading any app for tracking or knowing the distance to green..?
Glad to see a new video! John, can you test this with a Scosche Rhythm armband? I have a feeling it will connect but not actually use the Scosche for reading HR
Did you buy this in the UK? Can’t seem to find any?
Thank you for making these videos, they’re excellent. In your opinion, would you buy this watch at $200 or a refurbished fenix 3 hr for $240?
What’s the battery life like?
