You can manualy arrange witch notifications you get on your phone. You can only set text and phone calls if you want, or only facebook or only instagram, or all or none 🙂
UNFORTUNATELY, several studies have shown that wrist monitors are not as accurate as chest strap monitors. Garmin 245 was found to be 8 beats off!
In the journal Cardiovasc Diagn Ther.2019 June, the conclusion was:
“…In cardiac patients, the accuracy of optically based HR monitors varies, and none was as accurate as an electrode-containing chest monitor. This has implications for in-home CR, as electrode-containing chest monitors should
be used when accurate HR measurement is imperative”
So you can use the autoset on this watch? Does it work better than vs4
Thanks. Have one for two weeks now… Great info… and informative. 245 a great option in this avalanche of options.
Great review – very well informative and detailed. Subscribed, good luck!
A Garmin video focused on strength training is rare, thanks for the video, very detailed. I'll probably go with Forerunner 45, which is cheaper with all the features I need.
Usually with garmin watches you can customize which notifications you get. Go to the app on your phone
Hi, you don’t want the 245 with music? The model you show us is possible to get maps?
Great review, would you upgrade to this one from the vivoactive 3 music? That's what I have now
