The edifier gm4 mini is a true wireless gaming, earbuds, packed with a powerful base touch controls, led lights with four hours of playback and an added 18 hours in the charging case click the link in the description to find out more and welcome back guys now, basically, I’Ve used this for about more than a week now, so i will give you my perspectives of how i’ve been using it, especially when it comes to running now. Before i get into all of this first, i have to thank banggood who sent this over. Thank you. So much, but a quick, disclaimer banggood does not get to see this video before you do so they see this video at exactly the same time that you do now getting that out of the way let’s unbox. This on the front of the box is a picture of the watch with halo there on the back of the box. Are the features such as the heart rate monitor sleep management, hd touch screen and 12 sport modes, now i’m unboxing the ls02, and it comes in another black box opening the top of the box, and i see the watch right there, removing it and putting it aside. I see a user manual and a magnetic charging cable. Taking a look at the watch – and i must say it feels very light, taking a quick tour around the watch and there’s a single button on the right side, heart rate sensor on the back of the watch as well as pins for charging, and that is pretty Much it the watch strap used here on the halo.
Ls02 is user replaceable and it is a 20 millimeter band and i’m. Turning on the watch, it shows you a qr code which, when you scan it, it actually takes you to the app store to download the elue app. I think the app required me to log in to the elu app go to the ad device and select the watch now since we’ve gotten the unboxing out of the way let’s take a quick look here at the interface here on the watch. The default watch face which comes with the ls02, shows you details such as a date. The time heart rate, calories, burnt, weather and distance walked. Swiping to the right side shows you: the activity, monitor, heart rate, readings, stop watch weather and a ticket break section swiping down from the main watch face, reveals four items. The first is to find your phone. The second is to adjust the screen. Brightness third is for do not disturb mode, and the fourth is to access the settings. Swiping up from the main watch face has options such as statistics, uh, bits per minute, sport, mode weather, sleep, music, settings and much more tapping on more reveals. The stopwatch countdown find phone and breath training now on screen. You can actually see uh some of the sports mode that are included on the ls02. There are five watch faces here on the ls02 and it is not user changeable, so you are stuck with those five.
Now the interface out of the way let’s get into the nitty gritty right here, which is me actually using the ls02 right here for about a week, and there are some things that i noticed right off the bat and the first thing. I noticed right off. The bat is the fact that, for me on the ls02, the heart rate monitor is about 20 bits faster than at least my control device right here, which is my mi band 5 and it didn’t matter what i was doing, whether i was sleeping, whether i was Walking my heart rate is always higher on the ls02, which okay, you know, let’s see how that goes. Next up is slip tracking and slip. Tracking here is also very inaccurate. So for me definitely on my me: band 5 is a very reliable device right here. You know i had like seven hours plus of sleep tracked with my me band five, but on the ls02 right here it only said i had two hours 20 minutes, not looking great there, hey lou, not looking great there’s, also a sitting too long notification that i Turned on that beeps you, when you sat down for one hour without getting up, and initially at least on my mi band 5 right here, it’s a nice thing for me to you, know, get up and stretch my legs, but here on the ls02 it’s way too Strong, like it’s four beeps on my hand, and it feels like it wants to literally, like you know, vibrate my hands off so the first time it did that i turned it off and in fact anytime, you get any beeps with this, whether it’s phone calls or Anything, the vibrational motto is too strong and there is no option in the settings to actually reduce it.
So the only thing i had to do was to turn it off now. Let’S switch gears and actually go to the elu app, which is what you use to you, know, control the watch and everything and yeah it’s not looking good either while so far, if you’ve been watching this video, it does not look like i’m giving this a very Good review, but again this is my experience with the watch. I can definitely guarantee you that the app is way worse. Some immediate problems that i noticed like almost immediately when i started using the app, is the fact that there is no way to actually manually trigger the app to refresh content from the watch. So that means that if you’re in the myth, feeder, for example, you can actually you know, pull down to refresh and it will actually fetch data from the watch. But for this one there is no way for you to do that. So you have to just leave it to the app to decide when it wants to synchronize your data, which doesn’t sound like it’s, a bad thing or it’s a negative until like i am i’m actually running, and i want to like you know, track my data and, Like there’s, nothing showing up in the app or i’ve gone to sleep, and i wake up the next morning and i want to actually see a breakdown of my sleep and there’s. Nothing in the app – and i just have to wait for it to just decide to synchronize whenever i decide to so again, it does break up.
For me, another thing is the fact that it is not aesthetically pleasing at all. Now this is very subjective for some people. You know you don’t care about how it looks what it looks like or you care about this functionality, but for me actually happened to care about how the app feels and looks like, and it definitely does not look good. It looks like, as if someone just took the words and like ran into google, translate and then just like pasted it there, because some of the words just make no sense at all, and i think one of the biggest problems i have with the app on its Own is the fact that it is not intuitive at all now, looking at some of the options right here like you know, why is the sports history called record? So if you run – and you actually want to see your past runs, it’s, not called history, it’s called a record. What is up with that? Also, like you know, why is a switch switching between uh sleeping data? Why is it in a tiny little arrow on the top left and top right of the interface? I i don’t get it it’s like don’t. You want to see like don’t. You want to show me my data, like so many things in the interface just don’t make sense and it’s like i have to like really use my brain to figure out where it are things you know, it’s not very intuitive at all.
Now, okay, let’s just you know, let’s, remove the slip tracking and heart rate, and all of that and let’s actually go to what i’ve used it for which is tracking. My run now i’ve gone on a couple of runs with this and i tracked runs at three places at the same time. So i tracked on the ls02 right here. I tracked on my mi band 5 and i also tracked on my iphone with the nike run club app and it saddens me to say that of all the. I think three runs that i tracked with this uh thing with three devices. At the same time, only one actually got recorded on the halo ls02, which means when i went into the app after my run. You know trying to look into my data. How did i perform and everything there’s nothing there’s, just nothing for two runs it’s just empty. It just did not synchronize, so obviously that is not great news for me um. You know compared to the mi band 5 here, for example, um when you’ve hit one kilometer, the mi band is actually going to vibrate in your hand, so you actually know, like you know, you’ve run one kilometer on the hill as hell is zero. Two. None of that you get none of that zero um on the me band. When you stop maybe to drink water or to tie your shoes or something you actually get. You know a pulse notification right here, so it vibrates and it pauses the run for you.
You don’t have to do anything when you start running again. It auto resumes here, nothing, nothing it’s, just it’s, like oh yeah. This guy is just chilling right here, like he’s still running. The third thing is that, even for the run that it did track, there was some discrepancies in the tracking data, which means that for my pace on my iphone for comparison, i think i ran a six minute sub six minute pace on my mi fit it’s a Little bit closer at like 709 pace right there, so you know close enough on the hello it’s 16 minutes like almost double actually more than double so like how? How is it that much difference you know so i’ll definitely tell you that if you are buying this for run tracking, maybe this is not what you want to buy. You know it’s it’s, definitely not reliable at all, so coming to the of what i hope is not a very long video for me personally, i track a lot of data. I track my sleep. I track my diet. I track my you know, weight which is every single day. I track my running. I track so many things, heart rate and i would say for the accuracy that i require, or at least for a tolerance of you know accuracy that i require. I don’t think the ls02 here quite works for me uh. It is a little bit not so consistent and i think i’m just going to stick with my me band right here, but if you actually take away all the tracking you know you, you just use this as a watch.
You know something that looks nice. I think it actually looks pretty good. I actually like the default uh a watch face right here, which has you know your steps that you’ve walked. You know the kilometers, your heart rate, which maybe it’s not the most accurate, but here you know at that stage. Who cares? You know like i actually like it as a simple timepiece and at the price point, which is about about a hundred ish ringgit, which is you know, 30 25 ish dollars, it’s, not so expensive that i, if i actually spend my money on this, which again disclaimer. I did not this got sent to me so maybe that’s. Why i’m, like i don’t, have buyer’s remorse, but i think even if i did spend my money on it, i wouldn’t really have bias from us in the sense that you know. I would just treat this as a normal watch. That shows me the time, but anyways that’s basically been it for my review or for a runner specific review of the halos ls02 right here. Have you bought this device and you’re just watching this? You know what has been your experience: um. Do you plan on buying this and you just wanted to watch another person’s review, which is mine uh? What do you think? Let me know all these comments and more in the comment section down below and a huge shout out to banggood for sending this over in case you want to buy this.
