DECRIPTION:
The LEMFO LEM8 Android 7.1.1 smartwatch introduced the benchmark standard for current Android smartwatches called the “Always Time” mode. It allowed for a black and white analog watchface to be present on the watch when the screen would otherwise be off. In the new LEM9, LEMFO has blended tow different processors together in one watch to create a new form of “Always Time”, and that is a full color digital display with basic fitness information, viewable when this watch would otherwise be off. With this new display technology the watch can offer five days of standby time, yet can work as a fully functional Android smartwatch when needed.
The LEM9 also sports some new tweaks to band technology and a unique placement for the watch camera module (which is a high quality true 5MP one). I’m not a big fan of the new location, but, then again, I’m not a big “selfie” photographer. It might work fine for some folks.

Question…
Is there a watch that has all of the following:
ECG-PPG
Can Bluetooth to your phone to make and receive calls on the run from the watch
Connects to an app to download info to
Has GPS for accurate step and riding workout counter
And is bright outdoors
I like the Rundoing N58 but it's too basic in features, I love the LEMFO LEM9 looks but it too lacks features (love the dock charging) wish they all had that..
Kospet Hope is beautiful and the storage and memory is great, you think it would be packed but its also lacking key features…
I'm so bummed I can't find an all in one..
Cameras I could care less about..
Really the ECG-PPG, GPS, Bluetooth Calling, Step-Workout Counter, and connects to an app to download and save health info, and is also bright outdoors…
Are really what I need..
Any suggestions I greatly appreciate..
does the facebook app work ok on this watch once downloaded
You need more arms…
US $159.99 for RAM:1GB ROM:16GB? Its very stupid!
Please review makibes M3 4G dual chip android 7.1.1 8MP 800mAh
MOST HELPFUL CHANNEL I EVER WATCHED!!!
you make it so easy for me to pick a smart watch, thanks alot!
And again no battery test. And again only: Oh look at this watch. Oh isn't it beautifull. Oh look, it can do what every other Android smartwatch can do. Oh, look at the Android 7.1.1 functions, exactly the same as on all other 7.1.1 Android smartwatches! Oh, ins't that amazing? ?
I wonder when they update Android will this watch see that upgrade? Only thing I like more about Android Wear is that you can get those updates
Mr. Smart: I've watched at least 2 dozen of your videos (thanks), but never ever has one dealt with what is the primary function of a standalone watch, namely it's calling quality! I want to know how good (or bad) these watches are when used as a phone!!!
will this watch work with an iphone?
Is this better than the galaxy smartwatch
Thank you Mr. Ticks for such helpfull vids
Hi Mr ticks you mentioned a program to reverse landscace the the watch to use camera forward facing with watch upside down. It should flip camera to accommodate. And this way everything will work upside down not just the camera. No problem with https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=nl.fameit.rotate . Oh yes I am a diamond in the sky looking down 🙂
There's an app called Lefty once I get my watch i'll try it out and see if it works or is compatible. I like front facing cameras on watches as it enables more use of video chats on the fly. Quality looks excellent to me. removable bands is ok if you're a stylish person but not really important for utility. Also the colors are nice and probably better in person. I can't wait to get mines as this will be my first android watch.
This will be my fourth Android watch.
why? because the function 'long standby' works fine for my day at the office, today i have the IqI 4 air and I don't have much time to use the watch with all the functionalities so recently I bought a colmi s60, works fine but I miss Android on my wrist.
thanks Mr ticks because you show me how it works the two proccesors, is the only channel that really talk about this.
Hello Mr. @SmartWatch Ticks again,
Love your videos, too much fun.
I am looking forward to buy a watch now(but only a watch).
I am curious to know if there are more watches coming this season. Help me with coupon driven links which I can use to support this channel too.
I am super confused among these watches:
1. LEM9 : Checks all the boxes but has a bad camera position which ruins the elegance of the watch. Plus, it is quite expensive as compared.
2. LEM8: Looks too basic and has too thick inner bezel.
3. Thor 4 Plus: I thought it to be metal but the construction is plastic(please correct me if I am wrong), it was my fav pick but I got scared when I have seen a broken watch comment(with pic proof) by someone from India on the review video of that watch on your channel.
4. Thor 4 Dual: Front camera is an edge on this watch but the build quality feels extremely cheap.
5. LEM5: My all time fav as it has a timeless design, amazing screen/bezel, 2GB RAM but has an older android version(5.1) and no always time kinda thing.
6. Bakeey A4: Perhaps the most suitable for me.
This can be a challenging question for you too but all in all, if you have to give me an advice(which is the whole point of writing so much here 😉 ), which one should I choose ?
Thanks in advance !!!
Mr Ticks can you test open camera app? With that camera can be rotated!
Hello what is the charging look like? Magnetic or snap in?
I see a few big design flaw. The watch charging (5:42) contacts. During heavy use and perspiration those contacts will corrode causing charging issues. On older Samsung smart watches it was one of the cases of problems among users. How that was fixed? Wireless charging. I wouldn't recommend that watch for heavy outdoor use regardless of it's changing high tech like your commenting. They should have gone with wireless charging. Also those 4 screws will also corrode and leave a bad mark on your wrists over time as they rust. The price? not good also. with similar prices can get a LG or Samsung 3rd Gen watch out there in the online market that offers wireless charging and better support between the watch and smartphone. Rare anyone uses a smartwatch as a stand alone phone because of the battery draining. More it's used as a phone extension to view MMS, Notifications and Health tracking for sports and workouts. Not able to answer your calls directly from it? Another big no no. I have a Galaxy S2 smartwatch and though it's outdated it offers me all the best features I can ever ask for. Wireless charging, direct answer calls from it best support for my Samsung phone ever. New Samsung watches are even much better.
I guess it won't make a good Spy cam….no one makes video calls on watches.
How would you compare this LEM9 to the LEM8? I recently purchased the LEM8 before the LEM9 came out. If it's worth it and doable I was thinking about exchanging it when I receive it. I'd appreciate any feedback on both.
Did Lemfo ever tell you about updates? Most important feature for me before pulling the feature is being able to permanently make it upside-down 🙂 I'm worried usual apps won't work because of the dual-SoC complication.
How to view camera quality in WhatsApp
Hi! Sorry to bother you like this, but I have a question that might be simple to answer for you. See, a girlfriend wants to buy me a smartwatch but is confused (me also) with SO MANY options.
So in your opinion, what is the best Chinese smartwatch to buy right now? (she was looking at galaxy watch, but the price is ridiculously high). Tickwatch was an option, but it has only 512mb ram… and is oldish watch by now. Thor 4 PRO (or PLUS… don't see the difference) was talked about… We really don't know which one. I am looking at your reviews and still am undecisive.
The important thing for me is: Android 7.1; GPS (so I can go running without my mobile phone), Bluetooth + storage (for music while running), good heart rate monitor.. i don't know. A good watch with a fair price? 🙂
aaand you still cant use it on the verizon network.. grrr
