Nubia Alpha Hands-on at MWC 2019: A wearable, flexible smartphone
The Nubia Alpha is a flexible 4-inch display built into a smartwatch. We’ve seen lots of devices using flexible screens to try and make foldable phones, but this is the first we’ve seen that you can wear. But, just because you can wrap a screen around your wrist, should you?

I would like a compact clamsheel foldable design along with a slim smartwatch.
Personally not one for a phone that folds out into a tab or an awkward scrolling nightmare like Nubia Alpha
I bet the battery is just as terrible as the previous wearable watches
it doesn't make sense. If it's not big but long what is the advantage? To see more icons in the same time?. You swipe it anyway.
I really think this is the future of cell phones. But they need to be able to be used as a cell phone off the wrist then wrapped around the wrist and worn as a watch bracelet. Something about the size of the iPhone SE, but lighter. Also, holographic displays would be nice. Take it off lay on table and what holographic display then put on wrist and wear as a watch for messages and phone calls.
Cheap appearance, need development
Still waiting for Pip boy.
The idea of more screen is nice but at the end of the day serves no functional value
But will it make it 2 America?
Does it mean the camera can only take selfie
Looks like a 90s idea of a futuristic product
Junk
It's cool but probably forget that watch is a fashion product.
What a cute reporter!
Nubia u mean the watch is from Africa?
imagine that blow up in your arm ?
naff, tacky and over priced
It's hideous but it has a lot of potential. I'm excited to see what comes of it.
Ok the fact that it the screen keeps on turning off like that sucks….. n it looks so weird
Just put an apple icon on it and the price is triple
You gotta stabilize the device and turn the always on display on to review a device like that. Poor quality video?
absolute crap. I dont get the concept of a "smart" watch. Like how lazy can somebody be to not take your smart phone outta your pocket. These wearable smart gadgets are all useless..
If samsung or apple had made something like this and put their spin on it it wouldve been really cool
I want this, be the cool kid on the block
Looks bulky heavy and not practical. Still smart watch is better.
Invisible dude with a shoulder cannon and dreadlocks eventually gets hold of this.
I wondered if a snap straight watch would work better and then click back into place when finished. As currently the extra screen space is not that visible.
Good video. Bad product.
Now, that is cool!!!!
The Lock within 5 seconds 3000, so annoying to even watch.
Their design is so bad. I would fire their entire design team . I would fire the management for approving the design. Incompetent team. Please , we are not blind. Even blind people wouldn't be seen dead wearing it. Too ugly to eVen touch it.
