After success of Amazfit Pace Xiaomi Huami launched the Amazfit Watch 2 also called Amazfit 2 / Amazfit Smartwatch 2. Now this smartwatch is priced at $190 comes to approx Rs. 12,300. Check this review to know more.

There are two variants the Amazfit Watch 2 and the Amazfit Watch 2S, the 2s is way too costly, better avoid it unless you have extra money to spare. This smartwatch makes use of Bluetooth 4.2 and is IP57 certified you can even swim wearing it.

Performance

The Amazfit Watch 2 looks great and feels great when compared with the Amazfit pace. It is also using a round dial, silicon strap that can be easily removed when needed and the case is made of stainless steel.

Unlike the Amazfit Pace the Watch 2 comes with 3 buttons, plus you can also use the touch screen. Though the Watch 2 looks better than the Pace, better wait cause for now the default language is Chinese.

Since I have been using the Amazfit Pace I am well aware of the features and it’s easier to adapt to the new Amazfit watch 2 even when its Chinese.

Well for now the language is Chinese however the Amazfit app content is in English. You can use the App for more details in English. The good news is that the Global update with English language support will be rolled out in March. So if you want you can go ahead with this watch, buy it now or wait until the English update is rolled out.

Verdict

An excellent watch, the screen is clearly visible under direct sunlight and it is an always on screen. What makes it different from the Amazfit Pace is the design, its waterproof, the new exercise mode i.e. swimming and other features like Alipay (that is not much of a use for Indian users).

The Amazfit watch 2 gives consistent exercise results as good as the Pace.
